I know, i know. I am super late in posting some of my sessions, nevertheless – I am trying. Between having a 1 year old, starting a church, editing multiple sessions, playing accountant, answering emails and actually going out on location to capture these sessions – balancing it all with having a life, time for family, friends and everyday errands, becomes well, challenging. I did promise myself that I would blog my photoshoots more often. So here we are, backlog number 430249 on these Mini Sessions and counting. Just kidding, no-one’s counting! ;]
This session happens to be very special to me because these are my dear friends, who are more like family. We’ve been in each other’s wedding parties, were engaged during the same time period, and funny enough, were pregnant around the same time, give or take 6 weeks. While we didn’t fully plan it, we knew we wanted to get pregnant around the same time..and well, we did! God works in fun and mysterious ways like that. I have known this couple individually as friends, then as a couple, engaged, married and now as a family. Same goes for my husband, all four of us have been close friends for quite some time. And now, all six of us are friends. these are friends who are like family. When you get blessed with that, you cherish and value that and thank the Good Lord for it.
I mean, how cute is little E though? Time flies so fast guys!! Looking at these photos, i can’t believe this little guy is well over a year now, which also means my little girl is well over a year now. Not to sound dramatic or anything but they’re something about having them under a year that just is so special, and although everything they do is a first time experience, and a milestone in its own right; nothing beats the first year. Who knows? I may say that when they turn 2 but hey, for now, watching this little guy grow beside my own has been pretty special. And you can imagine how honored I was, when Parastou booked one of these mini sessions with me! I mean it’s one thing to capture strangers but, it’s a whole other feeling when some of your dearest book a session with you, it’s special man. I cherish it and thank God that this is what I do. Mini sessions especially. I’ve had the privilege of having clients book me repetitively and I get the joy of watching their family grow, year after year – it’s a blessing. One I don’t take for granted. This session gets me excited to keep blogging the rest of my Fall Mini Sessions; knowing full well we’re in Spring and heading fast into Summer. C’est la vie, homies!
Just look at these two lovebirds! So fashionably in love! I really appreciate when clients take the time to coordinate their outfits; we can’t add what isn’t there. So if you’re looking at Pinterest boards for engagement shoots or Mini Sessions, and wanting to create similar, dreamy shoots; take the time to actually create a board, talk with your photographer, share ideas and coordinate the outfits you’ll be wearing for your session. I can always count on Parastou to show up prepared and in style – with baby in tow.
